Mohaimenul Azam Khan Raiaan / রাইয়ান
I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at Monash University, Australia, specializing in Computer Vision and Machine Learning. My research interests are Artificial Life, Computer Vision, Explainable Artificial Intelligence, and Large Language Models.
Previously, I worked as a Consultant-Research Assistant (Remote) at Charles Darwin University, Australia, contributing to both academic and industry-focused projects in computer vision and machine learning. My research focus was inspired by how our sense of sight interacts with other senses to create a cross-modal perception in the brain to understand the surrounding environment in a better way with limited supervision. My broad research goal is based on the same phenomenon, as I aim for computational models to understand the world through visualization, sometimes incorporating other modalities like audio and text, without requiring human guidance.
I strongly believe in the importance of outreach in academia and actively mentor researchers from Bangladesh in the Applied Artificial Intelligence and INtelligent Systems Lab (AAIINS Lab) on AI based projects. In my free time, I enjoy roaming around museums and art galleries, reading books, and playing tennis.
